Meet Dr. Shilpa Patel (Brentwood, TN)

Dr. Shilpa Patel, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2004, after earning her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2000.

With two decades of valuable optometric experience, Dr. Patel brings expertise and a passion for the positive impacts that vision health can have on patients. Her entry into the world of optometry traces back to her college years, where she worked at an optometry office and received encouragement from a doctor to pursue a career in the field. Dr. Patel is committed to guiding her patients towards optimal vision with as many resources as possible.

Outside of work, Dr. Patel keeps herself active with HIIT workouts and yoga. She and her husband are both foodies and can be found exploring different restaurants in town and indulging in their mutual love for good food. When they are not traveling abroad to discover new experiences, Dr. Patel is at home with her children, watching reruns of Disney cartoons.
